[Pharmwaste] Current Estimates of Drug Waste

Wisconsin estimated the amounts generated, discarded and collected in its 2012 report Wisconsin Household Pharmaceutical Waste Collection: Challenges and Opportunities.
Page 5 of the report describes the sources and pages 6-8 estimated costs for collection.  The report also describes the limitations of these estimates, which are important for those seeking to improve estimates in the future.

The report was written by the University of Wisconsin Solid and Hazardous Waste Education Center and the Product Stewardship Institute, and commissioned by the Wisconsin DNR.  It is available on-line at:
