The Science for Solutions Seminar Series: Emerging Contaminants continues this week with two seminars:

U.S. Department of Agriculture

About the series:
Humans use a large variety of chemicals in their everyday activities, including over-the-counter medications, prescription drugs, and personal care products, which become part of the wastewater stream. Many of these chemicals are classified as "emerging contaminants" due to their recent recognition as potential contaminants in various ecosystems.

This interdisciplinary seminar series will feature speakers with research expertise in emerging contaminants from across North America. Method development, assessment, monitoring, fate and transport, impacts on ecosystems and natural resources, and treatment will be explored in nine seminars offered this spring.

All seminars will be broadcast as live webinars by the Agriculture and Environment Center. To join by webinar, visit https://meeting.psu.edu/agenvpartnership.

Some webinars will also be recorded and may be viewed at your convenience. Links for the recorded webinars can be found on the Emerging Contaminants Series webpage<http://agsci.psu.edu/aec/research-extension/aec-webinars-and-events/aec-webinars/science-for-solutions-seminar-series-1/emerging-contaminants-series>.
