Good morning all,

Over the weekend, the New York Times published an article titled "D.E.A. Effort to Curb Painkiller Abuse Falls Short at Pharmacies<http://www.nytimes.com/2015/10/11/us/dea-effort-to-curb-painkiller-abuse-falls-short-at-pharmacies.html?_r=0>." PSI was quoted in the article, which goes into the details of pharmacy collection and the need for producer responsibility to pay for it.

PSI will be hosting a free webinar<http://www.productstewardship.us/event/drug-take-back-at-retail-pharmacies> focusing on the collection of leftover medications at retail pharmacies this Thursday, October 15th from 2:00 - 3:30pm EDT. The webinar will address some of the challenges faced with pharmacy collection, while highlighting one pharmacy that is currently collecting controlled substances in store.

Thanks,
Suzy Whalen
