To All Interested Stakeholders,

At yesterday's meeting, the Board of Supervisors voted to adopt the attached motion, which calls for the County EPR Working Group to work with the stakeholders to implement and immediately launch a public education and outreach campaign and quarterly take-back event days, in accordance with Option 1 as described in the report presented in item R-1 and linked below.  The motion also calls on the County EPR Working Group to assess the performance of Walgreens' 24-hour kiosks as well as the effectiveness of the take-back education and quarterly collection events, and provide reports back to the Board of Supervisors, including a status report in 60 days as well as a final report on the findings and recommendations resulting from the EPR Working Group's evaluation which will be provided at the Board of Supervisor's November 1, 2016 meeting.
