[Pharmwaste] 10 Tons Collected from Walgreens so far in 2016

Agree that this is just the tip of the iceberg of unwanted household medicine that could be collected.

10 tons collected at 500 Walgreen’s drop boxes thus far (in less than a year, with boxes rolled out over time) is very impressive, and if all their 8,000 + stores in U.S. participated it would be YUGE!!

A great announcement from Walgreens that they collected 10 tons so far, but to put in perspective this is from Santa Cruz County CA:

 

“my little county collected more than 13 tons last year.  There is lots more to do!”  Tim

 

10 tons of unused medication collected and disposed of by Walgreens since the program began earlier this year!
