"If your house is like mine, you have cabinets of half empty prescription bottles and expired meds. I recently rounded up a box full of meds that my family of five is no longer using. I admit, in the past, I’ve dumped old meds in the trash, mixed with coffee grounds. But now, there’s a better way.

Medications are actually getting into the water supply whether it be because they were flushed or they were in a landfill and got into the earth. So that’s where this take back program comes into play,” said pharmacist, Charisse Beck, who works for U-Save Pharmacy."
