Yesterday, October 30, two reports with recommendations for tackling the opioid epidemic were released.

The Trump Commission and "A group of experts, led by researchers at the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health in collaboration with the Clinton Foundation" both came out with their final reports.

Take-back is not included in STATs summary of the Trump Commissions top recommendations:

I don't yet know if take-back is among the 53 recommendations that the Presidential Commission made.

Take-back is fifth of ten priority recommendations in the John Hopkins report:

  * Provide Clear and Consistent Guidance on Opioid Disposal and Expand "Take Back" Programs: There are enormous volumes of unused opioids in homes throughout the United States that are too often diverted for nonmedical use. Safe disposal options for prescription opioids are needed.
