"A release from the sheriff’s office said numerous unauthorized items have been placed into the box since its implementation."

"All persons disposing of drugs must place them in a resealable plastic baggie. This should occur prior to arrival at the sheriff’s office, baggies then must be given to a deputy who will place it in the container.

If a citizen is bringing a liquid such as cough syrup into the office for disposal, citizens shall place a paper towel in the baggie and then empty the liquid into it and seal the bag. Those baggies must also be handed to a deputy."
