Deb and all.

Yes the Ohio Board of pharmacy has established guidelines for pharmacy Rx-Waste Collection and Disposal. See attached. These became rules on 10.31.14.

Notably, Pharmacies that choose to collect Rx-Waste must collect both controlled and non-controlled substances.

Ohio
pharms do not have the option to collect only non-controlled. Collection of Rx-Waste must then meet DEA regs. Ohio also requires pharmacies to utilize a program that renders collected Rx-Waste Non-Retrievable.

Yellow Jug Old Drugs meets all the Ohio Board of Pharmacy Regulations. We have
started registering pharmacies in Ohio-they will be able to begin collecting when they receive their Lockable Container from us

To my knowledge the chain pharmacies are not yet providing this service in Ohio or other states.

Hospitals that have retail pharmacies can participate.
Signature Health Pharmacies will be participating.

Chris Angel

> Ok, has anyone heard anything about the implementation of the authorized collector permanent collection boxes? I've not heard a peep in Ohio - does anyone know if CVS or Walgreen (or other national chain) has started the process? What about pharmacies in hospitals?
