<p class="MsoNormal">The Pharmwaste list serve is open to all. This has always been one of its big benefits: we get to hear from a wide variety of people with varying opinions and ideas.

<p class="MsoNormal">But the list serve cannot be used for advertising. <o:p></o:p></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><o:p> </o:p></p>
<p class="MsoNormal">Although we do not have any specific guidelines for posting, from now on a for-profit company cannot use the list serve for advertising such as solicitation for a go-fund me program. Any groups advertising services regarding drug disposal
systems or programs will be warned and if they post advertising a second time, they will be permanently banned from the list serve.

<p class="MsoNormal">That does not mean that for-profit companies are not welcome to comment and join discussions, post articles and research, etc. But if the sole purpose of the post is to advertise their service, it will not be allowed.

<p class="MsoNormal">Another piece of housekeeping: some of you are not seeing posts. This is usually for one of two reasons: your email address has changed from when you first joined the list serve. If that has happened, you need to update your email address

<p class="MsoNormal">The second reason for not receiving posts is that servers may regard the list serve as spam. Your emails from Pharmwaste may be automatically discarded either because your policy is to not allow certain words that we use a lot to describe
programs and health concerns from pharmaceuticals in the environment or because your server sees the list serve as spam in general and does not allow those posts to come through (check your spam or clutter folder). You may find that you need to ask your IT
department to “white list” the Pharmwaste list serve. When they do security upgrades, that white list may need updating again.

<p class="MsoNormal">Unfortunately, some of you won’t get this email telling you why you aren’t getting emails! But if you hear from someone who isn’t getting their posts, you can help by forwarding this to them.
