893,498 pounds of medications from nearly 5,400 collection sites.<br>

"The 447 tons collected tops the 390 tons seen in spring 2014."<br>

The story also says, "A record number of Americans showed up".  Since the DEA does not track attendance information, I wonder how they could know this.

The DEA website does not have a press release posted, though they may have sent one to media.<br>

I'll let you know if the drugstorenews responds to my request for their sources for this story.<br>
