<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="color:#1F497D">In St. Croix County, there are nine locations to safely dispose of sharps. All but one are located at medical facilities; the exception is a grocery store pharmacy. SCC is the 19<sup>th</sup> largest county
by population in the state out of 72 counties.<o:p></o:p></span></p>

<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="color:#1F497D">There are five locations in Eau Claire County (15<sup>th</sup> largest). Four of these are at medical facilities; only one is at a local retail pharmacy.<o:p></o:p></span></p>

<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="color:#1F497D">In Washtenaw County MI (Ann Arbor) where I currently work, sharps are accepted at 7 locations. One is the county’s permanent hazardous waste collection facility. The other six are comprised of two medical facilities
and four private pharmacies – all of these businesses are locally owned.<o:p></o:p></span></p>

<p class="MsoNormal">Sorry, this is a bit off topic. I am looking for contacts in Wisconsin or the Dakota’s who can tell me why nearly all of your retail pharmacies collect sharps. Most all of ours do not. Given we’re pretty well set up for pharm collection
and are growing in that area, I need to move into this area. I did some zip code searches in MN and the east and west codes all pick up sites in WI or the Dakota’s!<o:p></o:p></p>
