<div dir="ltr">Ohio Sheriff Indicted<div>This just goes to show that even having take back programs opens the door for abuse. Why create that possibility? You are going to find even more problems with these programs. As we continue to advocate, the drugs need to be destroyed at the source "IN THE HOME" We now law enforcement spending time investigating their own when it is not necessary. An Ohio Sheriff has been indicted on 43 charges, including 6 counts of theft of drugs from collection programs.<br>
Though he passed a drug test at some point in the investigation, it seems that he is addicted to opioids [Twelve counts of deception (doctors and pharmacists) to obtain a dangerous drug as well as theft charges.]

It was suspicions about his personally "confiscating" from take back programs that started the investigation!<br>

<p>After Overmyer collected the pills from Bellevue police, a detective with the department told Sandusky County Sheriff's Office Detective Capt. Sean O'Connell, who then began to review the collected boxes that had been placed in evidence at the sheriff's

<p>During an August 2015 meeting, the Sandusky County Police Chiefs Association said it was "very suspicious" that Overmyer had collected the pills. The chiefs requested Ohio BCI to investigate the sheriff for possible wrongdoing.</p>
