As of December 30, 2016, an Administrative Law Judge invalidated a proposed pollution notification rule promulgated by the Department, which required owners of installations throughout the State of Florida report pollution events to the local government as well as a local media outlet to notify the general public of the event. Protecting Florida's pristine environment is our top priority and DEP will continue the public pollution notification process to ensure all Floridians and visitors are notified of pollution incidents. Moving forward the notification process from the Department may change, however it was imperative that the notification to the public continued seamlessly. The incident below was reported to the State Watch Office and is being forwarded to you because the event has occurred in your area. XL environmental reports there was a diesel release of 50 gallons. Clean up company on site. No waterways reported impacted.

Duval County EM reports that one SB lane of I-95 is now open. One unconfirmed fatality reported and one patient transported via Life-Flight.

Commercial vehicle fire is reported underneath the Southside Flyover near Mile Marker 340 on I-95.

Initial Report: FHP reports a vehicle accident involving one vehicle on I-95NB at Mile Marker 340 in Jacksonville. All lanes of I-95 are closed. FHP, Jacksonville SO and FR are on scene responding. Commercial vehicle fire with two entrapments reported. There are no anticipated petroleum spills at this time.
