GIS POSITION AVAILABLE 
Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services (DACS)
Tallahassee, Florida

DACS's Enterprise GIS Section is looking to hire a student (potential
Internship can be included) with ArcGIS version 8 experience to perform
duties in support of developing the Enterprise GIS library and Intranet Map
service.  The duties would include:

	: Completing map and data requests
	: Developing symbology, labeling and annotation methods for proper
display on maps in ArcMap 8.x 	  and ArcIMS 3.1
	: Assisting with loading data into ArcSDE 8.x data library
	: Assisting in compiling metadata for data sets in the GIS library.
	: Generalizing data sets
	: Compiling raster data sets from various sources
	: Preparing raster datasets for loading into ArcSDE and distributing
to field offices
	: Geocoding Department data sets and reviewing "miss-hits"
	: Customizing ArcGIS to provide tools for repetitive tasks
	

Need to be experienced with GIS and have working knowledge of ArcGIS 8;
knowledge of ArcSDE, ArcIMS and XML is preferred.  
Starting Salary negotiable ($10.00 to $12.00/hr) based on experience.
Working hours 20 to 40 hours a week - flexible with school schedule
