shrug-l: FW: SHRUG-L digest - Look at FME

Sir;
Look at FME for the migration path. They will more than likely be able to
help you with simple migrations. I assume this is for simple land base
utilization or simple point features.
Complex migrations usually require full migration translators written
against the data model directly. Especially if there are one to many
relationships in the to/from data models, soft/hard joins etc.
Best Regards;

I believe MapInfo uses these extensions. Don't know how to change formats.

It's MapInfo file.
Open ArcToolbox
Go to Conversion Tools/Import to Shapefile
Double click MIF to shapefile
In the MIF input box, navigate to where you have the MIF file saved
Choose a feature class from the drop down menu
In the output box navigate to where youd like to save the shapefile, and
give it a name.
Good luck,

Has anyone run into a problem with ArcIMS labels using HTML [as opposed to
Java web designer]?
I labeled buildings and they look great in author, but in MS Explorer from
another machine I see only colored blocks with no text in them when I zoom
in to the label scale range.
I am running ArcIMS 4.0 under Win 2000 using MS IIS 5.n and Servlet Exec
[which probably doesn't matter in this case].

Yes, you are right. Missed that part. :)
There is also a tool to convert MIF to Shapefile:
