GIS Project Manager

Location: Tampa, FL

Minimum Experience (yrs): 5+ 

Required Education: BA or BS required, MA or MS preferred. 

Description: 

The GIS Project Manager will play a key role in the growth and continued
success of the GIS Business Unit at WilsonMiller.  The GIS Project Manager
will report to the GIS Regional Manager and be responsible for day-to-day
GIS project and task management, execution and data/map deliverables.
Projects and tasks may include, but are not limited to: GIS
implementation/migration, spatial data
design/development/conversion/editing, application design/development, map
production, and spatial analysis/reporting.

Typical responsibilities include: internal and external client satisfaction,
client meetings/presentations as needed, documentation of workflow processes
and metadata maintenance, quality control of both data and process of work,
managing project/task scheduling and budget requirements, assisting with
proposal preparation, directing GIS group for fulfillment of project
requests and communication of task status, needs and issues to team members.

Requirements: 

? Four-Year Bachelor's degree in Geography or related field from an
accredited University required.<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns =
"urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" />

? Two-year Master's degree in Geography or related field from an accredited
University preferred.

? Five+ years of full-time daily GIS project management experience with GIS
project work using ESRI's ArcGIS 8.x/9.x in a professional work environment.

? Proven history of successful GIS project/task management and completion
including defining project work plans and procedures, defining schedules,
estimating budgets, managing budgets, supervising project teams,
coordinating with project/task managers in other disciplines/locations,
managing team member/client expectations, and communicating project progress
to team members/clients.

? Strong experience with ESRI's ArcGIS 8.x/9.x (ArcView, ArcEditor and/or
ArcInfo - desktop and workstation) is required.

? Experience with Spatial Analyst, ModelBuilder, ArcView 3.x, AutoCAD,
AutoCAD Map, Access, Excel, PowerPoint, AML, Avenue, Visual Basic, Python,
coverages, geodatabases, ArcSDE, ArcIMS, development and maintenance of
topologies and geometric networks, strong cartographic skills using ArcMap,
and metadata maintenance using ArcCatalog, are strongly desired.

? Ability to manage and perform complex GIS implementation/migration, GIS
data conversion/editing, GIS map production, spatial database management,
spatial analysis/reporting projects/tasks.

? Experience in applications of GIS in land use/land cover, planning,
environmental, and public infrastructure desired.

? Excellent communication skills in the English language required to build
relationships with clients.

? Strong organizational and interpersonal skills to manage and coordinate
project team members.

? Ability to work independently, without constant supervision, and function
as part of a team.

? Highly self-motivated, detail-oriented and quality-focused - driven to get
the job done right the first time, on schedule and within budget.

? Ability to handle multiple priorities and projects with tight deadlines.

? Florida experience a plus.

? This position requires occasional travel within the state of Florida.

? US citizen currently residing in the USA.
