Matt,

=20

ArcMap 8.x does have trouble symbolizing on related fields. I think the
simplest solution would be to export the shapefile with its two joined =
tables
so that the related fields will be permanent, then use the output in =
your
ArcMap document.

=20

If you find a more elegant solution, I'd be interested to know what it =
is.

=20

Hope this helps,

Michele

=20

All,=20

I am attempting to display the contaminant results for a single =
geographical
point from two .dbf's using bar graphs in ArcMap 8.x.

I am able to successfully join the two .dbf's to the shapefile, and can
successfully display an attribute from one joined field in the bar graph
(Symbology>Charts>Bar/Column). =20

And I am able to select any field from the joins in the dialog box, yet =
when
I try to display data from two fields originally from separate .dbf's it
fails (successful if pulling from fields originally in the same .dbf).

It does display it correctly (two bars parallel to each other) in =
ArcMap's
Table of Contents and in my inserted legend in layout view, but that
shapefile ends up not being displayed on the map.

Your suggestions are greatly appreciated,=20
