Work duties will involve using Geographic Information Systems (GIS) to
attribute the National Hydrographic Dataset to create a uniform
freshwater Aquatic Habitat Classification dataset. The creation of
metadata corresponding to the creation of the Aquatic Habitat
Classification dataset will be required. The applicant must have working
knowledge and experience in using ArcInfo or ArcGIS and Access database
software. Some travel will be required to field check the classification
results. Once completed, the Aquatic Habitat Classification dataset will
be used for modeling aquatic species distributions and assist in aquatic
restoration activities.=20
