Position Description:

Hillsborough County City-County Planning Commission (Tampa, Florida) is
seeking a highly motivated Sr Systems Analyst to become part of its
multi-disciplinary Automation Team. Successful candidate will provide
technical direction and guidance to all project team members and consult
with planners and team managers on system development issues. Will also
contribute to completion of enterprise GIS database and application
development projects. Must have good verbal and written communication
skills and be able to work well in a team environment.

Successful candidate will have a comprehensive understanding of current
GIS and IT technologies and the ability to design, develop, and deploy
geospatial databases using ESRI and related RDBMS technologies.
Majority of work will involve the use of ESRI's ArcGIS and ArcSDE
software, as well as Microsoft SQL Server RDBMS.

Desirable experience includes SQL Server and ArcSDE database
administration, involving database development, implementation,
management, backups, and performance tuning. Applied experience helpful
in migration of ESRI coverage and shape file data into ArcSDE formats.
Desire working knowledge of spatial data types and metadata, geodatabase
modeling, and experience with geospatial data analysis, conversion, and
data manipulation (editing, topology, and versioning) with ESRI products
(ArcMap, ArcCatalog, ArcToolBox).

Skill in object oriented programming and programming with ArcObjects and
project management experience a plus.

Minimum Qualifications:

Requires an Associate's or higher degree from an accredited college or
university with a major in a data processing field and three years of
experience in systems analysis; OR Master's Degree from an accredited
college or university with a major in a data processing field and two
years of experience in systems analysis; OR graduation from high school
or possession of a GED certificate and five years experience in systems
