shrug-l: Keck & Wood is looking for a GIS Technician

GIS Technician: The firm seeks a GIS Technician to work in the Duluth,
GA office of Keck  <http://www.keckwood.com> & Wood, Inc.  This is an
entry level position. The candidate will work with GIS professionals,
civil engineers, and survey technicians on various projects for utility
authorities, planning organizations and local governments. The candidate
will work primarily in the office but may occasionally need to go into
the field to as part of a GPS survey crew. This may also require some
travel to locations though out Georgia, Alabama and South Carolina. 

This position will require the use of various software packages and GPS
equipment to locate features in the field to produce GIS data and maps
for utility authorities, planning agencies, and local governments.
Assignments will include data entry and graphic mapping using various
GIS software, integrating and reviewing data gathered by GPS field
crews, and working on GPS field crew in various locations and
environments collecting data. Experience with land surveying, AutoCAD,
ArcView GIS, ArcGIS (ArcView, ArcEditor, or ArcInfo), Trimble Pathfinder
Office, TDS Solo Office and Microsoft Access Databases are desirable.
Experience with Python or VB Script a plus.    

This position is full-time (40 hours per week).  Salary dependant on
experience.
