Description:
The Department of Revenue - Property Tax Administration provides aid and assistance to local county property appraisers in mapping and geographic information system technology.  This Position will provide technical assistance to County Property Appraisers in GIS and mapping issues including:  utilization of GIS technology as a mass appraisal tool, map control and accuracy, hardware and software; digital map conversion, data structure, quality control and maintenance.

Pay Grade 24 - Position hired at minimum $40,948.18 annually

Criteria:

- Three years experience in cadastral mapping utilizing ESRI ArcMap software.
- Demonstrate GIS analysis skills with parcel data
- Provide technical assistance to County Property Appraisers in Geographic Information Systems and Cadastral Mapping.
- Assist with the development of GIS appraisal applications and utilization of this technology for aid and assistance to County Property Appraisers.
- Have effective verbal and written communication skills
- Willing to work effectively and independently in a team environment
- Willing to travel
- Willing to switch between several different projects as priorities change in a time sensitive environment
- Be willing to effectively meet established deadlines
- Preference given to applicants with Certified Cadastralist of Florida, Master Cadastralist of Florida or IAAO Certified Cadastral Mapper designations.
