While this may not be a map book, you can still use the Tag as Date function in ESRIs sample DSMapbooklet plotting routine. You can download it from ESRI's website if you do not already have it.

Okay programming wizards, tackle this one:
I want to put the date that a map is printed without having to open the text box and changing it. I always forget to do this before sending it to the printer. Just a simple "Printed on: <system date>". What tag or script or method can I use to accomplish this automatic date insertion?
