We still have seats open in both our Using AutoCAD Data in ArcGIS and
Autodesk Map 3D Fundamentals classes being held this month. Anyone
wishing to see what GIS functionality is available in Autodesk's GIS
enabled product line (Map 3D, Land Development Desktop, or Civil 3D) and
how to use it, should attend the Map Fundamentals class. The Using
AutoCAD Data in ArcGIS is great for any GIS professional that needs to
integrate AutoCAD DWGs or DXFs into a GIS. This class explains not only
how to do this but also explains AutoCAD formats and common problems
that often occur when trying to use CAD data.

With the ever increasing need for design and GIS professionals to share
data, it is critical that GIS users understand and are able to make use
of data created with Autodesk's AutoCAD(r) Software. Using AutoCAD Data
in ArcGIS is a two day class that explains the dwg format and how to
integrate them into standard ESRI data formats such as shapefiles and
geodatabases. This class was developed by Keck & Wood based on our many
years of experience having to share data between our engineers and our
