Make sure that the data field you are converting from is an integer and
not text or something else.
Thank you -

Subject: problem with Exp() function in field calculator
I am trying to do an exponential transformation of a field in a data
set. In the field calculator I typed Exp (N2) where N2 equals the field
name of the data I want to transform. It populates the entire field with
ones. If I just do a single record with Exp(3) where three equals the
value in that record for column N2 it gives me the desired number. So I
apparently do not have the syntax correct but I cannot find it in help.
I am sure this is not hard to do but I am missing some vital info.
