Hello Shruggers:
Just kickin' over some rocks...
I was recently introduced to the Pure Depth
<http://www.puredepth.com/index.html> MLD. A couple of internet
searches provided some interesting information about this "new" 2005
technology, but it all appeared to be geared towards run of the mill
applications (IE, Word, Excel, etc.) and games. It also uncovered some
inherent problems with layering LCDs. In any event...
Has anyone seen this technology used in the GIS spectrum? Obviously, the
basis for GIS is layering of data, but without so much depth, if any.
Would/does this technology have the possibility of providing any benefit
in the office or mobile (vehicle based) GIS environment?
Thanks for any responses.
