The following ftp site contains shapefiles and kmz files for 12-day
projected flood inundation areas and riverine FEMA flood zones for
100-year and 500-year zones within Suwannee Basin. This data is being
posted on behalf of the request of Richard Butgereit of Florida
Department of Emergency Management and can be accessed at the following
ftp site:

ftp.floridadisaster.org/GIS
user: FDEMPublicRead
pass: Re at donly96

In addition, here is a link to the FDEM Incident Mapper which shows road
and bridge closures, approach washouts, open shelters, and CAP aerial
photographs:

Here is a bit of information on the two data sets on the ftp site:

floodprediction
This layer is generated by taking the maximum crests that have occurred
at various river gauges on Suwanne, Alaphaha, Withlacoochee, and Santa
Fe Rivers, and the maximum crests that are expected to occur to show
maximum inundation. Since this analysis is rough, please use judgment
when viewing these inundation areas. The layer was generated using
river gauge data combined with 5 meter DEM data. The data was created
based on a combined effort of USGS, NWS, and GeoPlan staff.

suwannee_flood_zones
This dataset contains FEMA flood zones for Suwannee basin counties. All
counties use DFIRM data except for Levy County which uses Q3. Only the
100-year and 500-year riverine flood plains are included.

Regards,
Sam Palmer
