Hey everyone,

It was good to see several of you at SERUG this week. Conference
attendance was down by about half of last year but was still the best
attended I have been to so far this year. For those that were not at
SERUG, I wanted to let you know ArcGIS 9.3.1 is now shipping. I got mine
on Friday.

I installed the Desktop update on my laptop without any problems.
Unlike past ESRI new versions, 9.3.1 does not require you to uninstall
the older version than install the new version. It installs right on top
of the existing install of 9.3. Aside from some new toolbars to help
optimize maps for publishing to ArcGIS Server, there does not seem to be
much difference on the Desktop products between 9.3 and 9.3.1.

I have not had the chance to upgrade our development server just yet. I
am looking forward to doing that though since most of the updates in
this new release focus on server performance. I will let you know how
the upgrade goes and if I see any better performance. If anyone else has
been playing with 9.3.1 on Arc Server I would be interested to hear
about your results.
