The Florida Senate Committee on Reapportionment has an opening for a web
mapping programmer (position classification of Information Systems
Engineer). The position summary is below.
This is application programming work creating a web-based interactive
redistricting application to be used by members, staff, and the public
to create redistricting plans for 2012. The current development focus is
on open source GIS, database, and web technologies including MapServer,
PostgreSQL/PostGIS, PHP, and JavaScript. In addition to application
development, this position will also be responsible for server and
software configuration and administration as well as data development.
