Scott,

HP has several good units such as the HP Designjet 4520 Multifunction
Plotter
<http://h10010.www1.hp.com/wwpc/us/en/sm/WF05a/18972-18972-3328061-12600
-3328081-3879156.html> or the Designjet T1120 HD
<http://h10010.www1.hp.com/wwpc/us/en/sm/WF05a/18972-18972-3328061-12600
-3328078-3878813.html> . I have a couple of clients that use earlier
versions of these with great success. They are reliable, produce a great
plot and scan, and integrate well into a GIS or CAD environment. However
you pay a lot for the HP name.

Canon has recently entered the wide format arena with both plotters and
scanners. They have some systems that are at least claim to be as good
as HP's but at about 2/3 the price. I have one client that uses a Canon
plotter and scanner combination. He loves it.

Subject: shrug-l: Plotter knowledge?

Hello Everyone,

Looking for a new multifunction plotter that can plot, scan, network
ready and possibly has multi-roll functions available in the GIS office.
Can anyone out there recommend a good one that they like in the office
or have seen that has these types of abilities?

Thanks for the help in advance-

Scott
