shrug-l: Copy/Paste into SDE and calculation of XY in alternate projection

Good afternoon, all!

I am looking into modeling my address file prep and have run into an
interesting problem. My address file is in SPFLE  and contains lat/long
attributes. It's also housed in SDE. My current routine is to open the
version in a WGS84 map and use Calculate Geometry using Same as Data
Frame, then post the version. However, modeling doesn't work that way.
For one, there is no Calculate Geometry tool in the toolbox that I could
use in a model. That's really not such a problem - I can do it the old
fashioned way, ie Calculate field and the script
Dim Output As Double
Dim pPoint As IPoint
Set pPoint = [Shape]
Output = pPoint.X

However, that isn't the real problem. The problem is that that method
will only work if the feature class is reprojected into WGS84 and then
projected back to SPFLE. Since it's stored in SDE, that's a problem. My
options are
1. Reproject & calculate (which results in the SDE admin having to load
it every single week)
2. Find a calculate tool or script that will calculate in a projection
other than the one the shapefile is in
3. Find a copy and paste that will paste back into SDE
4. Export the model to a script and ask the admin to run it in SDE

I am really trying to avoid #1 and #4 because it is more work for a very
busy admin. I have been looking for 2 and 3 all over the Toolbox, Help
and script places but have not had any success. There are plenty of
calculate lat/long scripts....as long as you are in the same projection.
There is a copy and paste script...but only into a personal geodatabase.
I am hoping that there are some tools and/or scripts out there that you
might be able to direct me to.
