I will be teaching a couple of ArcGIS desktop classes down in
Tallahassee at Thoughtware Technologies the last week in October. This
will include ArcGIS Desktop III: Analysis & Workflows and Using AutoCAD
data in ArcGIS.
ArcGIS Desktop III is a two day course that teaches users how to use
ArcGIS tools in a workflow context to solve problems. You learn how to
organize and edit data, perform analysis using ArcToolbox and create
simple models using Model Builder. This is the next step after taking
the ArcGIS Desktop II class.
Using AutoCAD data in ArcGIS is a two day class that teaches ArcGIS
users how to use and integrate CAD data into their GIS. This class was
written by Wally Warren, GISP and myself using our years of experience
transferring data back and forth between AutoCAD and ESRI products as a
guide. Topics covered include understanding AutoCAD formats,
Georeferencing CAD files, importing CAD data into shapefiles and
Geodatabases, and exporting GIS data to AutoCAD.
