NOAA is the source for the authoritative data layer. If you need the
data for operational/response use, I think you will need to contact NOAA
directly. We have offered to publish their layer as a service but at
this point, they want to have people go directly to them for the data.

For our service, we (ESRI) are manually digitizing the data as quickly
as we get it and publishing it as a service. You can find this and
other pertinent layers at the Gulf Oil Spill Response Group
<http://www.arcgisonline.com/home/group.html?owner=ESRI_response_team&ti
tle=ESRI%20Gulf%20Oil%20Spill%20Response>

We are committed to keeping this as current as possible but we are
reliant on the agencies that are the authoritative source of the data.

Subject: shrug-l: Deepwater Horizon GIS Data

Does anyone know where the NOAA plume projection layers can be found?

ESRI was posting them on a website they established for the emergency
but their data is now like 48 hrs old. Also they were just posting the
24 hr projection in the LYR format so you could use it on your own base
map, the NOAA website has the current 72 hr projection on their website
but in PDF format (can't be used in GIS). I'm looking for the most
current NOAA data in a format that can be used with my own ArcMap
basemaps NOT the two-day old ESRI stuff!!!!
