shrug-l: ArcMap 3-D editor?

I am trying to create a do-nut shape feature and it appears to be really challenging.  There used to be an intersect function within the Editor and this function is not there anymore.  ArcMap documentation directs me to turn on the 3-D Editor for the intersect function, but I have trouble to locate 3-D Editor.  I am doing 10 with SP2.
