shrug-l: ESRI License Usage

Hi all,

It's time for our office to pay the yearly bills to ESRI. In trying to
determine how many licenses we need to continue paying maintenance on, I'd
like to find out how often our existing licenses are being used. I know I
can look at the Audit Log in the License Server Administrator, but that
only tells me single instances of who logged into which license and when.

Does anyone know of an application or a neat homegrown way to chart or
graph the license usage on our network? For instance, suppose we're
paying maintenance on 5 Editor licenses - I want to know how often we've
got 3 checked out at a time, 4 checked out at a time, etc... if we only
ever have 2 checked out at a time, we may not need all 5.

Any tips, tricks, or suggestions are greatly appreciated. Thanks in
advance!
