Go to Geodata.gov, click Gallery, click USA Soil Survey. In the Map
Viewer, click out to the right of Soil Survey Map in the Contents tab,
pull down and choose Description, and that will show you the REST end
point for that service - which is --
http://server.arcgisonline.com/ArcGIS/rest/services/Specialty/Soil_Surve
y_Map/MapServer
Note that Geodata.gov has recently been redone using ArcGIS.com portal
technology - so using it is pretty much like using ArcGIS.com, and there
are many federal map services available through there now.
