Walton County has a position for a Geographic Information Systems Technician I

GEOGRAPHIC INFORMATION SYSTEMS TECHNICIAN I   GRADE: 9                           NON-EXEMPT
Planning & Development Division/GIS

Minimum Qualifications

Moderate level technical work in developing and maintaining a comprehensive GIS for Walton County. Work involves the collection, processing, analysis and distribution of geospatial data.  Interacts with other agencies, departments and the general public. Duties are technical and detail-oriented with minimum supervision.  High School Diploma and some education in GIS, geography, cartography or related field and at least 1 year of progressive experience with a large to midsized GIS. The equivalent combination of education, training and experience may be substituted for the required education to perform this job function.   A valid driver's license is required.
