Hello everyone,

I have scheduled an ArcGIS Desktop Associate Exam Prep class for April
23-26. This will be an online class that will meet in four sessions from
10:30 AM to 3:00 PM EDT each day.

 

This 16 hour class will help prepare ArcGIS users to for ArcGIS Desktop
Associate Certification Exam. It provides an overview and refresher of
ArcGIS Desktop's core functionality as well as license level capability and
data sharing. Topics covered include:

 

1.      Overview of ArcGIS Platform

2.      General overview of ArcGIS Desktop including licensing levels &
functionality

3.      Review of ArcMap Interface including menus, toolbars, and windows
(TOC, Search, Catalog and Table) 

4.      Editing in ArcGIS with Feature Templates

5.      Creating Data Driven Pages

6.      Using Dynamic Text

7.       Ways to share and export GIS data

8.      Commonly used Geoprocessing tools & environment settings

9.      Geocoding

10.   Data Formats

 

In addition to lectures and instructor demonstrations, student will take
sample exams throughout the class. The practice exams help provide students
with an example of the types and formats of questions they might see on the
real exam as well as to help them identify areas where they might need more
study and practice. This course currently has a 90% pass rate for those
students that have taken the class and reported their results.
