This is being co-advertised as GIS Analyst I/Project Coordinator and/or Technical Writer/Field Technician with the intent to hire at least 1 possibly 2 people.  At least 1 position would be considered GIS "heavy".  Open until filled.

Environmental Consulting & Design is accepting resumes for a "hybrid" GIS Analyst/Project Coordinator I, for a small but busy office in Gainesville, Florida. Duties would be approximately 50/50% GIS mapping and project coordination including but not limited to: project scheduling, budget tracking, data entry & processing, presentation development, technical report editing & review, compilation of large scale documents and materials for submittals, and other administrative tasks as assigned by the GIS and Environmental Science Project Managers.  Work will be primarily in the office, with an occasional opportunity for field work/data collection and meeting attendance. Candidate should have an educational or profession background and interest in environmental sciences including wetlands, hydrology, mitigation or environmental permitting. Successful applicants will also have a high level of attention to detail, and be extremely organized. Must be proficient in MS Excel, Word and Power Point, and have direct experience working in ESRI ArcGIS.  Knowledge & experience with CAD, GPS, Florida fauna and flora, Florida Land Planning, Engineering or Modeling a plus. Minimum Bachelors Degree, Masters a plus.  Salary will be based upon experience and qualifications. Environmental Consulting & Design is accepting resumes for a technical writer/field technician (Environmental Scientist I) specializing in wetland hydrology, mitigation, environmental permitting or closely related field for our Gainesville office.  Duties would be approximately 80/20 % office to field work.  Office work will include writing and compiling technical reports for field assessments, monitoring reports, hydrology data processing and other research to assist the lead Environmental Scientist and GIS Project Manager.  Field work may include working for long hours in adverse conditions and overnight trips.  Knowledge of Florida fauna and flora and GPS experience highly desired.  Must be proficient in MS Excel, Word and Power Point.  Knowledge & experience with GIS, CAD, Florida Land Planning, Engineering or Modeling a plus.  Minimum Bachelors Degree, prefer Masters.  Salary will be based upon experience.   Valid FL driver's license and clean driving record a must.
