shrug-l: GIS Tech position at City of Tallahassee

The City of Tallahassee, Stormwater Planning section is looking for a part-time GIS Tech to assist with updating the Stormwater Infrastructure enterprise geodatabase. This primarily consists of editing and creating vector data that belongs to a utility geometric network.

Required skills:

*         a firm understanding of GIS concepts and terminology;

*         sufficient experience with ESRI ArcGIS software;

*         ability to query GIS data using SQL;

*         proficient with technical writing and documenting procedures;

*         ability to work in a team environment; and

*         capable of committing to a regular and consistent schedule, working a maximum of 25 hours/week.

Optional, but desired:

*         some experience scripting with python arcpy module;

*         cartography skills suitable for professional map-design;

*         ability to work with engineers...

*         the ability to problem-solve.
