All ArcGIS Desktop users should start creating a migration plan to ArcGIS Pro.  There is no need to wait to start to use ArcGIS Pro.  It runs side-by-side with ArcMap.  You can start using it now by importing an existing MXD.

Some great reasons to go Pro:
