shrug-l: Open Source Meetup?

SHRUG-L,

A few of us have been talking about trying to get an open source GIS meetup going in Tallahassee so we can get together and trade our hard-won knowledge about using open source GIS in our professional lives. A lot of the decisions we need to make about meetups - where, when, what format, how often - will depend on how many people on SHRUG-L are interested in becoming involved.

Is anyone out there interested in meeting up every 4-8 weeks to talk shop about open source GIS?

Once we've got a list of interested people together and have a rough idea of how many people want to be involved, we'll send out a group email and hash out all the boring organizational details.
