DESCRIPTION: </span></font></u></b></p>
<p><font size=1 color="#645454" face=Arial><span style='font-size:8.5pt'>Responsible
for performing various field work for addressing purposes and enhanced 911
mapping projects. Utilizing a GPS, a digital camera and sophisticated
computer equipment, technician will drive and collect data in the County.
Such data includes collection of street centerlines, site-specific data
including driveway access, structure locations and addressing data. Transfer
and process data from the GPS to the GIS (geographic information systems)
daily. Research and compile data including recorded and unrecorded plats,
legal instruments, private and government surveys, aerial photographs and GPS
data within GIS for map production and analysis. Perform computations for
quality assurance of field work for preparation of maps and addressing.
Assists with assignment of E911 Addressing and Street Naming using GIS as well
as maintenance of MSAG and ALI databases as needed.</span></font></p>
<p><font size=1 color="#645454" face=Arial><span style='font-size:8.5pt'>Certificate
in GIS/GPS technology or two year degree in related field. Two or more
years experience in GPS and data collection. Two or more years experience
in GIS. Possession of a valid Florida Driver's License.</span></font></p>
