<DIV><FONT face=Arial size=3>The Geomatics Program of Troy University is
partnering with the Environmental Institute and the Department of Geology and
Geography at Auburn University to host the 3rd Annual GIS Symposium and
Workshops. This year's events are scheduled for October 31st and November 1st at
the AU Ralph Draughon Library and the Hotel at Auburn University Dixon
Conference Center on the campus of Auburn University. The symposium theme,
"Managing our Geography," represents the multitude of applications for
GIS.</FONT></DIV>
<DIV>
<P><FONT face=Arial size=3>The two four-hour workshops will be held on Tuesday,
October 31st and feature the latest information on ESRI geodatabases and state
of the art updates about LIDAR data. The workshops will be conducted in the
computer labs at the AU Ralph Draughon Library. Space is very limited. Visit the

<P><FONT face=Arial size=3>On November 1st, the venue will move to the Hotel at
Auburn University Dixon Conference Center for the day-long symposium. This
year's symposium, as with the past two, will provide a forum where the
discussion of ideas, concepts, and applications is a welcome approach for GIS
developments in the southeastern United States. The goal is to offer high
quality workshops, technical sessions, exhibitions, and poster
presentations.</FONT></P>
