Hello campers -<BR>

This seems like it should be a basic feature of ArcMap, but ESRI tech<BR>
support can't even find a way to<BR>
create a street index based on a traditional A-1, B-1 grid.<BR>
Back in 8.3, there was a script that created a text file, but that<BR>
script errors out in 9.1. The script produced "Main St C10", "Broadway<BR>
H3", etc.<BR>

Any ideas from you good folks?<BR>
<BR>
We have a layout with a data frame, data frame has an "index grid" built<BR>
using the functionality of the frame properties. Roads are in a line<BR>
shape file which contains street names.<BR>
