About the Position:<br>
Florida History, LLC has an immediate opening for a full-time GIS
Technician in our Tampa office. Benefits include health, dental,
vision, life, and disability insurance, as well as paid holidays and
personal time off. Salary is dependent on qualifications and experience.<br>
<br>
Minimum Qualifications and Requirements:<br>
- A degree in Geography, Archaeology, or a related field <br>
- Proficiency in ArcGIS 9.3 software<br>
- Excellent research, analytical, and writing skills<br>
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office 2007 products (Word, Excel, Access, Outlook)<br>
<br>
Desired: <br>
- Working knowledge of Adobe Illustrator CS3, Photoshop 5.5, Microsoft Streets & Trips<br>
- Knowledge of metadata standards (FGDC, SDSFIE, and different state's standards)<br>
- Some experience with CAD drawings and files (.dwg and .dxf)<br>
- Experience with GPS software and equipment<br>
- A background or interest in Archaeology or History<br>
