Hello,

We’re trying to upgrade our ArcGIS Server .NET –
Enterprise Standard - (9.3) to 9.3.1. When I go to run the 9.3.1 upgrade
file (.msp), the Windows installer issues an error message saying that it can’t
apply the patch because it thinks the software to be upgraded is not installed
on the computer. However, when I run the ESRI PatchFinder utility (9.3.1)
it reports that ArcGIS Server .NET Enterprise Standard is installed on this
box. I’ve tried repairing, uninstalling and reinstalling, no luck.
Same error message every time.

The current 9.3 Server installation is working correctly, we
can create and publish map services, web sites etc. We have ArcSDE 9.3
and ArcIMS 9.3 also running with no problems on this box.
