<p><span style="font-size:10.5pt; font-family:"Arial","sans-serif"">The OPS Systems Project Analyst will utilize Geographic Information System (GIS) techniques to support ongoing GIS data development and existing GIS projects for the Florida Department of Agriculture
and Consumer Services’ (FDACS) Division of Food, Nutrition and Wellness (FNW). Work involves geospatial, environmental data, and health data analysis; creation, update, and maintenance of GIS databases; and technical support to Division and external GIS users. </span></p>
<p><span style="font-size:10.5pt; font-family:"Arial","sans-serif"">This position is responsible for the accurate and timely execution of the following responsibilities: </span></p>
<p><span style="font-size:10.5pt; font-family:"Arial","sans-serif"">Produce data layers, maps, tables, or reports using spatial analysis procedures and GIS technology, equipment, or systems. Check all layers to ensure accuracy – identifying errors and making
necessary corrections. </span></p>
<p><span style="font-size:10.5pt; font-family:"Arial","sans-serif"">Monitor mapping projects and the updating of maps to ensure accuracy, the inclusion of new or changed information, and compliance with Department policies and procedures. </span></p>
<p><span style="font-size:10.5pt; font-family:"Arial","sans-serif"">Maintain base map data with relevant documentation to support GIS analysis of Division projects. Update GIS databases, maps, website content, and documentation on a regular and as-needed basis. </span></p>
<p><span style="font-size:10.5pt; font-family:"Arial","sans-serif"">Create, analyze, report, convert, or transfer data using specialized software. </span></p>
<p><span style="font-size:10.5pt; font-family:"Arial","sans-serif"">Provide technical expertise in GIS technology to support the Division and users.</span></p>
