Hi all,
First, a shameless plug. Your workshop committee is already hard at work preparing for this year's SHRUG Workshop. We are meeting second Tuesdays of the month at Myers Park Community Room in Tallahassee, 3:00 p.m.. Great group of committee members this year, but there is always room for more. If interested let us know.
On to my question. Is anyone out there using GIS as a component of their Law Enforcement agency's Crime Analysis function? I am looking for best practice ideas on how to enhance our crime analysis program through the use of GIS. I've seen plenty of examples on the web, but I would like to have some contact with real people who have put GIS to work in this area. Another area of interest is the utilization of GIS in the area of supporting CompStat functions.
Any ideas, thought, suggestions, samples, etc. are greatly appreciated.
