Greetings colleagues. I am teaching and advanced course in GIS for natural resource and environmental sciences at FAMU. Enrollment in the course has been increasing and I am appealing to the professional community to see if anyone out
there can help me with some equipment. I teach an outdoor exercise where students use a handheld GPS unit to collect points and create a layer file. I am looking for any old working handheld GPS receivers. I don’t need fancy, and expensive, newer models.
Just something that collects a lat/long, but not an automobile GPS. If anyone has an old eTrex or similar unit laying around that you don’t use or want anymore I and my students would greatly appreciate any donations.
